This event is by far the most popular and well attended event of its kind in Western Australia. Instead of using frozen jelly, our competitors are coated in KY Jelly, liberally applied by the “Official Greasers”. The Greasers are required to give each girl a liberal coating of KY, as well as, ‘off-side the Referee’, to prevent the contestants tumbling out of the ring and off the stage and out into the audience – as has been known to happen from time to time.
Each bout is 3 X 3 minutes and there are a minimum of 3 bouts per night (usually 4 to 6 bouts). The rules are simple: “no holes, er um, holds barred”. The whole event is presented in a humorous vein, as a ‘take-off’ from Rock’n’Roll wrestling, however, one thing is for sure – these girls go at it hammer and tong and every rule of lady-like behaviour soon goes out the door (or ring, along with what vestiges of clothing they ever possessed). Girls are ‘type-cast’ as characters, but in the end, its just free-for-all.
We are always looking for Judges, Time-keeper-bell-ringer and Greasers. So if your workplace social group is looking for something different to do, or your after a team-bonding experience, or if you just want to promote your product and want to sponsor this year’s event, just give us a call and we will be happy to get you in amongst it (if someone hasn’t already beaten you to the job).
All competitors share in a pool of prize money and any female over the age of 18 years is eligible to enter. Each entrant must supply their own wrestling partners. Competitors must be prepared to have their clothing torn or forcibly removed by their protagonist, to the point of full nudity. All competitors must sign a disclaimer indemnifying the venue and holding it blameless for all liability and responsibility for any loss, harm or injury.

Although the Voodoo Lounge caters for Bucks Parties, there is a huge market out in the suburbs (also in boardrooms, boat cruises and football clubs etc), who like to employ a ‘vibrator stripper’. The Voodoo Lounge’s Amateur Pole Dancing Competition invites all non-professional performers (non erotic dancers), who have devoted themselves to learning this difficult and somewhat esoteric sport, to perform under lights at our venue: the best to showcase the best.
Pole-dancing has become so stylised and polished that some of the world’s greatest gymnasts and sportswomen practise and teach it, as an alternative genre of exercise, to promote fitness and feminine empowerment. It is widely touted as the next sport to be listed in the Olympic Games.
One of the Voodoo Lounge’s own dancers, Felix Cane, went on to become a world celebrity and star of Circus de Soleil’s show in Las Vegas, called Zumanity. She has been described in press releases and television host shows as “a little squirrel like beauty, gifted and ferocious in her interpretation of alternative dance”. Felix gained a reputation as a gifted teacher, training girls at what is undoubtedly Australia’s leading boutique pole studio – Bobbi’s Pole Studio, here in Perth. Last year and this year we secured Bobbi’s as our sponsor for this event and together we have brought some extraordinary, ordinary women, into the Voodoo Lounge and under lights, to educate the public as to how far this sport has come. A very popular event for a mixed audience and large contingent of women supporters, attended by an early crowd, arrive early to avoid a queue.
Open to any amateurs who wish to enter, however you must perform a preliminary demonstration at the Voodoo Lounge or Bobbi’s Pole Studio, prior to the night, to ensure you are of a suitable competition standard. The Voodoo Lounge opens its doors during the week for practise and rehearsals if required by entrants. Contestants must not display nudity and must provide their own music CD. Participants must sign an insurance waiver and indemnity form. Victor’s sashes and an art deco trophy are awarded to all place getters.

Back Friday is recognised worldwide. Every year the Voodoo Lounge celebrates a Friday the 13th in recognition of all the ancient Dionysian energies (the half goat, half man god of ancient times), that chaos within us all, which leads man so wilfully into the embrace of wine and wanton women.
Some see the number 13 as being unlucky. It is associated with witchcraft and black cats. Some hotels don’t have any guest rooms on the thirteenth floor, reserving it for their air-conditioning units. It is reputed to symbolise Judas, the thirteenth Apostle. In Stone Age times, it was on the thirteenth month, at year’s end as winter descended, the women priestesses sacrificed the boy king in a bid to regenerate and fertilise the birth of Spring. Unlucky for some, lucky for others.
Within some elite units the toughest take 13 as their potent sign, the looking glass though which to interpret your enemies thoughts. Amongst those who wear tattoos, 13 is the sacred number of reversal – the way of turning everything negative into a positive. We all know what public holiday falls on April the 25th every year: when our war veteran’s march and we pay tribute to their honour, self sacrifice and courage. We are open for trade on that night so it is only fitting we should do a Women in Uniform show: which is presented each year by the professional dance choreographers and promoters “Crazy Sexy Cool”. The theme is self explanatory and all our dancers and supporting acts will be dressed accordingly.
All veterans or men currently serving in any of our armed forces gain free entry on this night. All other normal conditions of entry apply.
Red Friday

On the first Sunday of May, every year, the European world launches into a frenzy of festivities devoted to fertility rites and demonstrations dedicated to the working man and social justice. Tattoo Artist Ball

The Tattoo Artists Ball is another of the Voodoo Lounges hallmark ‘alternative’ or sub cultural ‘balls’. It is Western Australia’s premier ‘Night of Skin’, where the state’s leading and legendary tattoo artists mingle with their peers and patrons in a non-competitive, social environment.
As with any sub culture or alternative lifestyle, those initiated into that lifestyle like to congregate and compare the markings or trappings of that culture in a friendly, glamorous environment: and that environment is the Annual Tattoo Artists Ball. Devoid of any professional jealousy, it is an opportunity for the young apprentices, male and female alike, to meet with the “Masters of Ink” and compare styles and techniques, whilst displaying their designs right there on their skin. Here you will hear a different language being spoken, about outlining, shading, coloring or heavy black ink. A place where the apprentice gets a breadth of advise, where trade secrets slip out, and where experience concretizes into another dimension.
There are three tattoo competitions: for the Best Big Piece, the Best Small Piece and the Most Erotic Piece (as after all, the Voodoo Lounge is now recognized internationally as a venue of exceptional and diverse expression of sensuality and style). There is also a Piercing Parade, with prizes for the Most Erotic Piercing, and The Most Piercings Overall.
On this night both levels of 174 James Street operate as one big room. With the artists at work downstairs (the Rocket Room), the chatter of tattoo machines, the cruisin tunes of the Awesome Linsey Wells, and the sensation of ink going into skin, creates one all embracing atmosphere.
Simultaneously, upstairs (the Voodoo Lounge), with the tattoo competitions, the girls in their finery displaying their plumage of colorful ink, the men with their exhibitionist masculine art, the piercing and suspension acts, the tattooed strippers, belly dancers, the erotic and exotic creates a kaleidoscope of activity which keeps the night swirling along.

The Dynamic Duo Competition is an event which showcases the best “Lesbian Strips” in the state. As with ‘vibrator strips’, these duo partners work together on the big circuit, the bucks, boardrooms and river cruises, where pole-dancers fear to tread.

The entertainment on the night takes its theme from the clash between the ‘holy’ and the ‘unholy’. The newspapers are full of tales of fire and brimstone preachers who somehow, invariably, get caught with their pants around their ankles mounting their ‘neighbours wife’, their secretary or, of course, a hooker. Let’s be serious, where would religion be without hypocrisy and the Devil: “the Devil made me do it”. Facebook Friday is a new event for 2012, whereat we will reward those loyal Facebook supporters, friends on both the Voodoo Lounge and Voodoo Lounge Northbridge pages. The concept is to post a password on our facebook pages, to weed out the pretenders, which our genuine friends will present us with at their arrival – prior to 10.30 on Friday 13th July. On this night we will be putting on platters of food, complimentary drinks (for genuine invitees), with drink specials all night long, as well as, beginning a whole range of entertainment beginning at 10pm sharp – including male and female strips, burlesque, full cabaret show with guest artists flown in from interstate, and laptop giveaway prizes (already hooked up to facebook)!
Guests are asked to make up their own name-tags, which list their name on the top line, then on the next line, with whom they are ‘friends’ : that is, whether they are friends with Hayley, or Ryan or someone else associated with the club. When you go to a friends page, it shows you who they have ‘friends’ in common with you, so this is no big task.. and you’re not getting out of it, because we will be providing tags for those who didn’t do so... miond you, some people will turn up looking like a Yank war veteran wearing his medals.
In this way other people who are also ‘friends’ with those people will be able to put a real, living face to their cyber friends/friends in common etc. This will sort the cyber dreamers out from the real, flesh and blood individuals we know and provide an opportunity for those who have ‘linked up’ because of other reasons (distantly related, went to school with someone’s siblings etc), a chance to actually ‘press the flesh’, as well as, to have an excellent, early, night out (and those with kids can get home early to boot).

Best in the West Booty Comp

We always run our “Best in the West Booty Comp” during winter, because there is one thing everyone knows for sure: booty men are serious about what they like and neither rain nor hail is going stand between them and a fine piece of ass.
This event takes it inspiration from that notorious ‘gonzo’ producer, the ‘Buttman’ himself, John Stagliano. Undoubtedly a subject everyone has an opinion on: breasts, bazookas, norks, chest puppies, call them what you like, everyone loves them. So we thought it was only right they should have a show all to themselves.
The Best Breast in the West Competition invites all, um, outstanding women to enter either the amateur or professional categories of this event. You don’t have to have huge knockers to enter (although there is a class for big boobs, both natural and artificially enhanced), because we raise a toast to all breasts – from apple (small, hard and round), to peach (full, firm and with just a little on the juicy side) and huge (er, large and larger, whether firm or a shirtful, matters not).
In the Amateur Class we introduce the nervous first timers to the subject, warming them up to the subject, by issuing them with flimsy T Shirts and having our ‘Boob Handlers” hose them down in the preliminary ‘wet t’shirt’ segment of the show. As both the amateurs and the professionals get a little more enthused, as their nipples start standing to attention, we bring on the engineers to put a more scientific spin on things. We have our ‘breast engineers’ get out their micrometer and measure the diameter of all the nipples, as well as, determine the length of the little beauties by seeing just how many DVDs we can stack on each one. A truly scientific analysis of a strictly aesthetic subject!
Open to the public and all professional dancers, in either the amateur or professional classes respectively. Pool of prize money for all winners and place getters, along with victor’s sashes and other sponsor gifts. A very well attended event and inevitably a queue forms outside the club, with a long line by 11pm – get in early. Standard $15 entry fee applies.

Foxy Boxing is a frivolous, fun filled, take-off from serious boxing, where two girls face off with giant, over-sized boxing gloves. It is a three (3) Round match, with three (3) matches per night, over two consecutive weekends at the Voodoo Lounge.
The rules are simple: both girls must be correctly attired to FBAS (Foxy Boxing Association Standards, of course), which means they are only allowed to wear the smallest bikini’s bottom (Foxy Boxing, is of course ‘topless’). The loser of each round is divested of her panties (like in pool, ‘getting pantsed’). A panel of three (3) judges call the decisions, whilst the Referee is assisted by two (2) or three (3) ‘Ring Men’ to assist him in maintaining order in the ring. Victory is determined by ‘popular vocal decision’ or a TKO (Taken all Klothes Off).
Remember, even though boxing is viewed by some as an extreme sport, we will be extremely surprised if you don’t find this event extremely enjoyable. It provides a fantastic fun night out for everyone, girls and guys, in what is undoubtedly the best nightclub of its kind in Australia today.
The Voodoo Lounge are always keen hear from sponsors or social groups looking for something different to do of a Friday night and who want to serve on the panel of judges or as associate referees. But remember, the Voodoo Lounge does not permit entry to intoxicated persons nor dickheads, so don‘t come along to this event if you think you are Mike Tyson.

Halloween Fetish Ball
